Winnie Seeman, 105, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Peterson’s Assisted Living in Osage City.
Winnie Belle Kincheloe was born January 6, 1918 in Mayview, Missouri, the daughter of Phillip and Eunice Marie (Welliver) Kincheloe. She graduated from Higginsville High School in Higginsville, Missouri. She served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII.
She was joined in marriage to James D. Larwood and later divorced. Winnie later married William J. Seeman in 1959 and was married 47 years before his death in 2002. A year after death she moved to Osage City to be near family.
She was a secretary for Skelly Oil and later, Getty Oil in Kansas City for 31 years until she retired.
Winnie was a member of Osage City United Methodist Church.
She will be forever remembered by her son, Dr. James (Daila) Seeman of Osage City; four grandchildren, Christopher Seeman of Seattle, Washington, Laura Seeman of Atchison, Kansas, Cynda Hamidullah of Roanoke, Virginia and Briana Palacio of Osage City and four great-grandchildren.
Winnie was also preceded by parents and a sister, Betty Jensen.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Osage City United Methodist Church. Private family burial was held at early date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Osage City United Methodist Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523.
