Wayne David Tollett

��Wayne David Tollett, 78, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his home near Neosho Rapids. He was born November 16, 1936 in Nowata, Oklahoma the son of Howard C. and Nadine Snider Tollett. Wayne attended Paola High School and graduated with the Class of 1955. In the years following high school Wayne worked at the Paola Butter Company. Wayne was joined in marriage to Barbara Jo Thoms on June 15, 1956 in Paola. The young couple moved to California in 1957 at which time Wayne earned his Journeyman Plumbing License. Wayne and Barbara moved to Emporia for a short time in 1962 before making their home near Neosho Rapids in 1963. After moving back Wayne went to work at Krueger Plumbing in Emporia. In the late 1960's he became the owner and operator of Quality Plumbing in Emporia. He served the area for over 30 years until his retirement in 2001. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Tollett of their home; a daughter, Corinne L. Carr (Monte) of Emporia; two sons, David R. Tollett (Cheryl) and Tony A. Tollett (Rhonda) both of Emporia; two sisters, Betty Thoms of Carlsbad, California and Anita Roberts of Ottawa; a brother, Loyd Tollett of Parker, Kansas; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by an infant son, David Wayne; an infant great-grandson, Korbin Thomas and a brother William Towler. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Inurnment will follow services at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hand In Hand Hospice or Friends of The Zoo and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com. ��
