Wanda Lee Marlatt Chmidling Wanda Lee Marlatt Chmidling, 78 went to be with the Lord on April 25th. Wanda was born July 2, 1936 in Nortonville Kansas, the daughter of Raphel and Barbara Stillman Marlatt and the step-daughter of Willard Clinkenbeard. Wanda graduated from Nortonville High School. Wanda met the love of her life and married Eldon Chmidling on February 16, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2005. Also preceding her in death are an infant daughter, Kimberly, her parents and one brother Terry Marlatt. Wanda is survived by one son Rusty Chmidling (Janet) of Edgerton, three daughters, Brenda Lake (Delmer) and Cindy Hoadley (Leo) of Belle Plaine and Michelle Martin (Rick) of Osage City; Nine grandchildren, Kyle Lake, Ben Graham, Emily Sweet, Katrina Chmidling, Evan and Joel Hoadley, Miranda Hickey, Dylan and David Martin; nine great-grandchildren, Gillian, Marisol, Khloe, Layne, Paislee, Summerlyn, Brooklyn, Paeton and Ryleigh. Two brothers, Jerry Marlatt, Milwaukee Oregon, Ed Clinkenbeard(Patty) Olathe; two sisters, Glenda Frost (Kenny) Nortonville and Donna Bannister (Charlie) Eudora. Wanda also leaves behind her dog Penny. Wanda was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Osage City, a member of the church Alter Society, Eagles Auxiliary , Osage City. Wanda was a 15 year Red Cross volunteer, a 25 year volunteer for Peterson Nursing Home, Mother of the Year in 1981. Wanda loved arts and crafts and the bazaars. She liked collecting angels, bells and playing bingo. Wanda touched many lives with her infectious smile, generosity and unconditional love for her children. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church Osage City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29th at St. Patrick's Church, Osage City. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Osage City. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, The Lupus Foundation The American Heart Association or Heartland Hospice and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523
