Verna Lucille Morris

Verna Lucille (Ard) Morris, 79, of Osage City, KS passed away at Stormont-Vail Hospital, on December 13, 2021. Verna was born September 30, 1942, to Elmer and Venerva (Harper) Ard in Osage City, KS. There she spent her childhood and graduated from Osage City High School. She was joined in marriage to Raymond Morris on November 3, 1967. To this union, four children were born, Bruce, Raymond Jr., Linda, and Suzanne
Verna dedicated her time and attention to her children and would do anything for her kids and her family. She also loved her pets, often needing reminders that they didn’t always need to eat the same things she was having. Verna was a people person and would give anything to help those who needed it. In her free time, she enjoyed walking around town visiting with those she met along the way. Even through her years of dialysis, she looked forward to seeing everyone when she went to her appointments.
Preceding her in death are both parents, Elmer and Venerva Marie Ard, and 12 siblings.
Verna is lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Raymond Morris, Sr.; four children, Bruce Morris (Brenda), Raymond Morris, Jr., Linda Zouplna (Tony), and Suzanne Morris; her sister, Lois Gurtler (Roger); four grandchildren, Chelsa Morris, Chandra Morris, Chase Morris, and Anton Zouplna; two great-grandchildren, Brentlee and Kinsley; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1:00-2:00pm at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City, KS, with service immediately following at 2:00pm. Verna will be laid to rest at Osage City Cemetery following services. Memorials may be made to the family for final expenses c/o VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N 6th St, Osage City, KS 66523.
