Susan Marie Singleton

Susan Marie Singleton, 58, passed away early Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Kansas City Hospice House. She was born December 3, 1956 in Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Robert E. and Gertrude M. Osman Gould. Susan attended Lebo High School and graduated with the Class of 1974. Susan proudly served her country by joining the United States Navy in 1982. She received an honorable discharge October of 1988. Susan went on the serve during Operation Desert storm in April of 1991. Susan worked as a LPN at the Kansas City Veterans Hospital for 26 years. She has worked the past two years at the Veterans Clinic in Paola until her health would no longer allow. She was joined in marriage to Kenneth A. Singleton on October 30, 1986 in Memphis, Tenn. Susan will be forever loved by her husband, Ken of their home in Olathe; her daughters, Chelsea Marie Singleton, Haley Annette Singleton and Dulcinea Roxanne Singleton all of Olathe; her mother, Gertrude Gould Thomas of Olathe; four brothers, Rodney Gould of Hartford, Bob Gould of Olathe, Vincent Gould of Lebo and Roger Gould of Lebo as well as her six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Gould in 1999 and her step father Jim Thomas earlier this year. Her life will be celebrated at 10:00 AM., Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Lebo United Methodist Church. Burial will follow services at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 PM., Thursday evening at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo.
