Susan Lynn Springeman

Susan Lynn Springeman, 70, of Burlington, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.
She was born April 1, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Tony and Maxine Dennison Sherrill. Susan attended high school in Miami, Florida where she graduated in 1969.
Susan married Michael Springeman on November 8, 1984 in Burlington, Kansas. Susan and Michael lived in Iola until moving to Coffey County three years ago. They both worked for a time at Cardinal Building Services in Topeka as custodians.
Susan had served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.
Her family noted that if you ever had the pleasure of meeting Susan you would know that she was a free-spirited individual who was hilarious. She said what was on her mind and it didn’t matter if it was good or bad. She was a firecracker and for that she will always be loved.
She will live on in the hearts and memories of her husband, Michael of their home in Burlington; her four children from a previous marriage, daughter Jaime Ellis of Iola; sons; James Arthur Glaze III of Fountain, Colorado, David Daniel Glaze of Iola and Charles Andrew Glaze of Kansas City, Kansas; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren ; numerous extended family and a host of friends. Susan was preceded in death by her loving mother and father and an infant son, Mark Allen Springeman.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 6, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Burlington. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will follow services at Key West Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebo American Legion Post and sent in care of the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O.
