STEVEN R. KOLBABA

OSAGE CITY- Steven R. Kolbaba, 61, of Osage City, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

Steven Ray Kolbaba was born May 24, 1955 in Emporia, the son of John Henry and Juanita M. (Hogan) Kolbaba.

He had been a truck driver for many years. He had drove for Tommy Whalen, Shears, Blacktop and for his father J&J Hauling until he bought his own. He was able to do about anything he put his mind too.

Steve was joined in marriage to LaRae Eller they were divorced. He then married Terri Bruce and they were divorced.

Steve will be forever remembered by his companion, Paula Sue Williams of Osage City; four daughters, Jolene (CJ) Adkins of Osage City, Amanda (Trista) Kolbaba of Overland Park, Angie Kolbaba (Chris Grader) of Topeka and Allison Sloop Kolbaba of Osage City; two sons, Brennan Kolbaba of Washington and Michael (Chris) Kolbaba of Texas; his mother, Juanita M. Kolbaba of Osage City two sisters, Debra (Vernon) Price of Emporia and Kathy (Robert) Ayers of Osage City and three grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Adkins and Mason Grader; a niece, Jodee (Richard) Bishop and four nephews, James and Jon Price, Walker (Lauren) Ayers and Hunter Ayers.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Kolbaba on June 19, 2013.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Private inurnment will take place in Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Steven Ray Kolbaba Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
