Sam was a Cowboy’s Cowboy. He could ride Bronc’s, rope calves, twist a bull or two, and was naturally talented at most everything he did. Sam was a jack of all trades. He was talented beyond belief whether it was riding a horse, singing and playing his guitar, or writing poetry, he could do more than most people could dream of!
First and fore most his kids were his greatest accomplishments! He loved and supported his kids fiercely, as well as all his family.
Sam enjoyed any chance to get horse back. That was his manscape, as well as heading out to the Tack Shed, turning on some tunes and tooling leather. Most of the time if you were headed out to the Tack Shed, you would hear Sam belting out a song before you got there, and it would always bring a sweet smile to your face.
Sam was a self-taught Guitar Man that was a naturally talented and gifted artist. He truly enjoyed learning and perfecting songs. Whether you were on Facebook, a special occasion at Church, or a gathering of Cowboys hanging out, you were blessed to hear him sing.
Another part of Sam that you might have been blessed to witness was his Poetry writing. He had a way with words. Whether it was reading his Cowboy Poetry or hanging out with the guys talkin’ trash and drinkin’ mash, while being the life of the party. Sam would always give you that smile, and you knew it was going to be a great night. He would always give you his Cowboy Wisdom by all his little sayings like: If you are going to be stupid you’ve got to be tuff, masher to the wood, don’t take no wooden nickels, I can’t fix stupid, and arrivederci.
The family would like to thank Sam’s very close rodeo buds, the wonderful community and friends as well as the Knight Family for all their help, care and prayers. May God Bless You All.
