Robert S. Fry, Sr.

ROBERT S. FRY, SR. ESKRIDGE- Robert S. Fry, Sr., 90, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 at his home in Eskridge. Robert Stewart Fry was born July 17, 1925 in Chalk in Wabaunsee County, Kansas, the son of Jess Samuel Fry, Sr. and Clara Castle. He graduated from Alta Vista High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was joined in marriage to ErmaJean Louise Miltz on February 28, 1948. Robert worked for Kansas Power and Light, now known as Westar, as a lineman until retirement after 43 years of service. They moved to Eskridge in 1958. He was a member of IBEW #304 and was a former member of the American Legion. Robert will be remembered by his daughter, Michelle (Larry D.) Esquibel of Dodge City, Kansas; three sons, Byron Fry of Topeka, Clayton (Paula) Fry of Kansas City, Missouri, Dahl Fry of Eskridge; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, ErmaJean, his parents, a son, Robert Fry, Jr., a great-grandchild and two brothers and seven sisters. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday morning, September 12, 2015. The immediate family would like to invite extended family and friends to come celebrate Robert's life at 408 Pine in Eskridge at 1 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert S.
