Presley Robert McCaleb

Presley R. McCaleb, 33, passed away, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.

Presley Robert McCaleb was born October 27, 1990, in Emporia, the son of Richard Lee McCaleb and Jennifer Lynn Robison. He graduated from Hartford High School in 2009. He attended Flint Hills Technical College for one year, then completed Lennox Heating and Air Training School in Nashville, Tennessee in 2009.

He worked at Modern Air in Emporia from 2009 to 2018 and was currently working for Jones Heating and Air in Emporia. Presley was highly respected in his chosen field and in his customer relations. He was often requested by name when people needed heating and air services.

Presley was joined in marriage to Hope Evelynn Dyer on July 6, 2013, in Madison, Kansas. To this union, a son was born, Jeremiah Presley McCaleb.

He enjoyed disc golf, gardening, fishing, and cooking, especially smoking and grilling. He helped coach his son in soccer and basketball. Presley enjoyed spicy foods and grew ghost peppers, habanero, and jalapeños. He was a big fan of the Kansas City Royals and KU Jayhawks. He enjoyed vintage video games and Magic the Gathering.

Presley was a member of the Life Church in Emporia. He and his wife, Hope, taught “Kids Church”. He was known to many of the kids as Uncle Pretzel.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Hope, of the home; a son, Jeremiah Presley McCaleb of the home; father, Rick McCaleb of Emporia; mother, Jennifer (Ron) St. Bonnett of Hartford; brother, Benjamin (Heather) McCaleb of Neosho Rapids; father in law Jay (Geneva) Dyer of Ponca City, Oklahoma; mother in law, Melodie Tucker of Lebo, five sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law and ten nieces and nephews; other aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2024, at Life Church in Emporia. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Wilsey Cemetery, Wilsey, Kansas. Family will receive friends Sunday evening, September 8, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the church.
