Patricia Dennison

Patricia M. Dennison, 84, of Burlingame, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Tanglewood Health and Rehabilitation in Topeka.

Patricia Mae Mercer was born July 19, 1936 in Eskridge, Kansas, the daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Juanita Faye (Prescott) Mercer. She graduated from Eskridge High School in 1954.

Patricia was joined in marriage to Charles Edwin Dennison on May 20, 1954 in Illinois. To this union, five children were born Rita, Shirley, John, Duane, Cindy. Pat and Charley loved camping, fishing, and traveling to Branson, Yellow Stone National Park, Mount Rushmore and numerous places in Colorado.

She was a homemaker for her husband and children. She had worked as a housekeeper and had worked at Burlingame City Hall.

Pat will be forever remembered by her three daughters, Shirley (Steve) Marcotte of Gridley, Rita (Kenny) Hinck of Burlingame and Cindy Dennison (LuAnne Moore) of Topeka; two sons, John Dennison of Osage City and Duane (Ellen) Dennison of Burlingame; a brother Monty (Nancy) Mercer of Delia, Kansas; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers, Larry and Jim Mercer.

A private family graveside will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Burlingame Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Burlingame Federated Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City 66523. Condolences may be expressed at Vanarsdalefs.com.
