Nadine Marie Tindell

Nadine M. Tindell, 86, passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka.

Nadine Marie Schwanke was born June 22, 1938, in Leigh, Nebraska, the daughter of August and Marie (Schroeder) Schwanke. She graduated in 1956 from Atlantic High School in Iowa.

She was a member of the Osage City United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She volunteered in many other organizations and helped anyone in need.

She was joined in marriage to Larry Tindell on January 23, 1989, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Nadine is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; two daughters, Shelly (Roy) Hawks of Scranton, Kansas and Susan (Larry) Friesen of Carbondale, Kansas; a son, Scott (Kim) Zimmerman of Texas; two stepdaughters, Shari Standiferd of Basehor, Kansas and Kelli Sue (Jason) Palmer of Texas; a brother, Dennis Schwanke of Atlantic, Iowa; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. A graveside service to be held later. Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523. Condolences may be expressed at Vanarsdalefs.com.
