Myrtle Ione Bergstrom

Myrtle I. Bergstrom LEBO- Myrtle Ione Bergstrom, 107, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Sunset Manor in Waverly, Kansas. Myrtle was born November 26, 1907 in Ortonville, Minnesota, daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Chase) Cooper. She was joined in marriage to Gustaf Bergstrom in 1936 in Austin, Minnesota. To union was born a son, Bruce. Myrtle was a member of the First Congregational Church in Austin, Minnesota. She moved to Lebo, Kansas in 2001 to be closer to her son. She was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler, golfer and enjoyed gardening. She will be remembered by her son, Bruce (Millie) Bergstrom of Lebo; six grandchildren, Eric (Suzanne) Bergstrom of Silverton Oregon, Eeron (Kate) Bergstrom of Austin, Minnestoa, Adam (Allison) Bergstrom of Leavenworth, Washington, Sara (Rob) Brown of Centennial, Colorado, Brandy (Eddie) Gannon of Emporia, Kansas and Jacob (Cassie) Bergstrom of Evans, Colorado; sixteen great-granchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Gus; a grandson, Larson Bergstrom; a brother, Arlo Cooper; two sisters, Dorothy Baldec and Florence Fuller. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Graveside will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, Minnesota. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Manor and sent in care of Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O.
