Morgan Emily Mccoy

Morgan Emily McCoy, 19, passed away early Sunday, January 7, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Missouri.She was born  in Topeka, Kansas on July 19, 1998, the daughter of John and Brenda Miller McCoy.  Morgan attended Liberty High School in Liberty, Missouri and graduated with the Class of 2016. She was currently a sophomore at Northwest Missouri State University where she was pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on early childhood. Morgan was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority and  worked as an office assistant at the Brown Education Hall on campus. She was also employed at the Belfonte Car Wash and at Victoria’s Secret at Zona Rosa.  She will live on in the hearts of her mother; Brenda McCoy of Liberty, Missouri; her father; John McCoy of East Moline, Illinois; sister, Taryn McCoy of Liberty, Missouri; niece, Zaylah Elise McCoy of Liberty, Missouri; Paternal Grandmother, Carlene McCoy of Olathe, Kansas; Maternal Grandmother, Nancy Jones of Reading, Kansas; numerous extended family and countless dear friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal Grandfather, Clayton McCoy and her maternal grandfather, Doug Jones. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Flint Hills Bible Church in Emporia, Kansas. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan McCoy Scholarship Fund (to benefit early childhood education majors) and sent in care of the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home at P.O.
