Michael Lee Grove

MICHAEL L. GROVE OSAGE CITY, KS - Michael Lee Grove, 67, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka. Michael was born May 18, 1947 in Portland, Oregon, the son of Omer Elza and Beatrice Rita (Olson) Grove. He graduated from Gladwin High School in Gladwin, Michigan in 1965. He attended college at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Michael was joined in marriage to Christine Mae Ewald on September 10, 1966 in Beaverton, Michigan. Michael and Christine moved to Osage City, Kansas in 2013 from Duchesne, Utah. He had worked as a machinist at Simpson's Industries in Gladwin, Michigan. Michael's hobbies were hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was a lifetime member of the North American Fishing Club. Michael will be remembered by his wife, Christine; a daughter and son-in-law, April and Terry Holp of Rockford, Michigan; a son and daughter-in-law, Uriah and Anitra Grove of Osage City, KS; and five grandchildren, Janessa Beck, Kyle Holp, Maranda, Alowyshes and Uriah Grove Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and two twin grandsons, Jason and Jerome Grove. The Family will hold a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
