Mary June Thompson

Mary June Thompson, 86, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Mary June Hutchison was born June 7, 1932 in Scranton, Kansas, the daughter of Charles M. and Anna (Sheall) Hutchison. She graduated from Scranton High School in the class of 1950.

Mary June was joined in marriage to Clinton “Clint” Lee Thompson on August 21, 1950 in Scranton. She helped in various aspects of her husband’s businesses, Clint Thompson Lime, Rock and Sand, Clint Thompson Ready Mix and later Clint Thompson Trucking and Construction. But, majority of her time was being a keeper of the family, as a mother and grandmother.

She was a member of the Osage City United Methodist Church, Red Hats and Eastern Star.

Mary June will be forever remembered by her two sons, Mac (Donna Jo) Thompson and Spencer (Keena) Thompson, both of Osage City; and daughter, Annette (Jeff) Patterson of League City, Texas, a brother, Charles Hutchison of Overbrook; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was loved by all in her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clint; daughter, Mary Beth Neill.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Osage City United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial to follow service at Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Osage City United Methodist Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N.
