Courtland, Kansas

In loving memory of Marvin Lee Andrews, a cherished soul who graced this world with his presence on March 18, 1981, and departed on June 20, 2024. Lee Andrews, as he was affectionately known, was born and raised in the serene embrace of Salina, where he cultivated a profound love for community sports and the camaraderie they brought.

During his formative years, Lee immersed himself in the local football, showcasing his athleticism while playing for the Salvation Army. Wrestling also held a special place in his heart as he enthusiastically participated in matches for the Salina School districts. As time unfurled, Lee transitioned into men's fast-pitch softball, honing his skills and relishing the competitive spirit that defined the game.

Beyond the realm of sports, Lee dedicated several years to working in Salina while continuing to display his passion for men's fast-pitch softball. It was amidst these pursuits that fate intertwined his path with that of Tina, a meeting that blossomed into a love story for the ages. Their bond deepened over shared dreams and aspirations, leading them to Kansas City where they forged a life together. In June of 2008, surrounded by loved ones, Lee and Tina sealed their love in matrimony.

The vibrancy of city life in Kansas City became their backdrop for over a decade as Lee embraced all that it offered. From cheering on the Royals at games to exploring new culinary delights at local restaurants and enjoying evenings at neighboring casinos – each moment painted a canvas of cherished memories. Yet amidst these adventures, Lee's heart always found solace in the company of family and friends.

In 2018, a new chapter unfolded as Lee and his family embarked on a journey to Courtland where he found fulfillment working for a local farmer. It was here that he discovered profound joy in nurturing his children alongside Tina. Whether casting lines during fishing trips or sharing lighthearted dad jokes, playing catch in the yard or tinkering with minibikes – every moment spent with his children was imbued with love and laughter.

Lee's generous spirit knew no bounds as he extended kindness to others through acts both big and small. Whether mowing lawns for friends or offering unwavering support whenever needed – he embodied empathy and humor in equal measure. His quick-witted one-liners brought smiles to countless faces and illuminated lives wherever he went.

As we mourn the loss of Marvin Lee Andrews, we find solace in celebrating the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts as we remember his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for those dear to him.
