Malcolm LeRoy Boren, 52, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at his home in Osage City.
He was born January 5, 1969 in Hutchinson, Kansas. As a young child, he was adopted by George and Karen Little Boren. Malcolm attended Waverly Grade School before his family moved to Osage City .
Malcolm was a free spirit who loved to sing. Over the years he has posted over a thousand videos of himself singing on You Tube. His other passions included metal detecting and taking pictures. He was often referred to as the “Keeper of Memories” which is also the name of his You Tube channel which will continue to be available for all to enjoy.
Malcolm married Carmill Medearis in 1990. They later divorced in 2001. He was joined in marriage to Chelsea Tomlinson on October 4, 2010 in Osage City, Kansas.
Malcolm will live on in the hearts and memories of his wife, Chelsea of their home; daughters, Kari Boren of the home and Crystal York of Carbondale, Kansas; sons, Craig Marriott of Topeka, Andrew Boren of Osage City, Steven Boren of Osage City, Mavrick Boren of Osage City and Peyton Tomlinson of the home; his mother, Karen Boren of Topeka; sisters, Robin Dieker Williams of Topeka, Malinda Pagles of Topeka and Michelle Bradley of Kingman, Kansas; a brother, David Coker of Hutchinson, Kansas; four grandchildren, Madalyn Boren, Selah Marriott, Connor Marriott and Parker Marriott; his birth mother, Charlotte Akins Coker of Hutchinson, Kansas; numerous extended family and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George; a daughter, Carrie Amber Jaynes; grandparents, Malcolm A. and Verna M. Boren, Dorothy (Roy) Little Hogan and Russell Hogan.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Malcolm’s life at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 3, 2022 at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow services at Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to his children’s education fund and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
