Luvena Holland

��Luvena Holland, 70, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at her home near Madison. Luvena (Nibarger) Holland was born December 1st, 1944 in Marysville, California the daughter of Donald and Martha Wade Nibarger. She grew up in the Virgil/Hamilton area where she graduated in 1962. She went on to attend cosmetology school at Vernon's in Wichita. Luvena worked as a beautician in Wichita in her earlier years until she moved with her husband, the late Terry Holland. She continued her work as a beautician in Madison for about 10 years before she started at ABZ manufacturing. Then she took employment at Modine Manufacturing where she worked for 21 years until it closed. She completed the business administration degree at Flint Hills Technical College after the closing of Modine. She then retired to her home in Madison. She had two children: Michael Holland of Overland Park and Carolyn (Holland) Cole and son-in-law, Joe Cole of Emporia; eleven grand children: Elizabeth Holland, Emily Holland, Alexander Holland, Margaret Holland, Charlotte Holland, Levi Cole, Jade Cole, CheyAnn Cole, Montana Cole, Garret Cole and Destiny Cole. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Alex Holland and her husband, Terry Holland. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am., Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Madison United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Lena Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 pm. until 7:00 pm., at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or KLUE of Odyssey of The Mind and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Home at Box #488, Madison, Kansas 66860.
