Lila Louise Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and, passed away on October 5, 2024, at the Holiday Resort in Emporia, Kansas. Born on May 2, 1933, in Council Grove, Kansas, Lila was the cherished daughter of Leonard L. and Bertha Marie Young Skinner. Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her commitment to her values.

Lila graduated with the Class of 1951 from Council Grove High School, where she began to sow the seeds of her vibrant future. Early in her teenage years, she worked diligently at the local Duckwall's Store, a testament to her strong work ethic and dedication. After high school, Lila pursued higher education at Ozark Bible College, dedicating three and a half years to deepen her understanding of faith and purpose.

On December 21, 1952, she married the love of her life, Warren Lee Anderson. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Lila devoted herself to raising her children, becoming the heart and soul of their home for two decades. In 1972, she embarked on a new chapter as a USDA Food Inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture, a role she held until her retirement in 1994. This career achievement reflected both her dedication and her desire to contribute to the community.

An active member of her faith community, Lila attended the Church of Christ and held membership in the Council Grove Christian Church. Her spiritual life was a significant aspect of her identity, shaping her values and guiding her actions throughout her life.

Lila's legacy lives on in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Anderson and Marsha R. Anderson Bewersdorf; her sons, Donald Eugene Anderson and George Phillip Anderson; her sister, Lenda Sue; and her brother, Willis Dean Skinner. Lila also leaves behind a large and loving family of twelve grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren, whose lives have all been touched by her kindness, wisdom, and nurturing spirit.

She is now reunited with her late husband, Warren Lee Anderson, and her son, Timothy Bert Anderson, who preceded her in death.
