Larry Linn Crane

March 3, 1967 — April 3, 2022

Larry Linn Crane, 55, of Virgil, Kansas, passed away in a house fire on April 3, 2022.
Larry was born in El Dorado, Kansas, to Floyd and Leota Megli Crane, on March 3, 1967.

Larry graduated from Eureka High School in 1985 and was a member of FFA for four years. He was a member of the Virgil Rural Fire Department for the last several years. Larry has always had a love for horses. He was employed by Collinge Cattle Company as a working cowboy for several years, which gave him the opportunity to capitalize on his love of horses. With all of the things that life threw his way, he always seemed to have a positive outlook on life and make the best of any situation. Larry was loved by many and liked by most. He had the ability to put a smile on your face no matter how upset you were, even if you were upset with him. Larry didn’t know a stranger and was willing to help anyone in any way he could. He adored his grandkids and spent as much time with them as possible. His grandson, Grady, was like his shadow, following his Pepaw everywhere he could.
Larry is survived by his wife, Kerry Crane, of the home, two children, Kaleb Crane and Shelby Crane, two grandchildren, William Grady Derryberry IV (Grady) and Rosie Marcella Derrberry, his mother, Leota Crane, two sisters, Belinda Martin and husband Brad, Lucinda (Cindy) Stuber and husband Kevin and one brother, Jerry Crane and wife Vicki, mother-in-law, Ardell Watts, two sister-in-laws, Pam Schoenhals and husband Johnie and Robin Watts and life partner, Darrell Holtsclaw, one brother-in-law, Jarrod Watts, multiple nieces and nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews.
