Born on December 6, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Charles Vester and Mary Ann Markman Weiss, Kenny lived a life filled with hard work, love, and dedication to his family.
As a young man, Kenny embarked on his career working on pipelines alongside his father. In 1973, he moved to Lebo where he took a position with Black Top, gradually advancing to the role of foreman. His work ethic and determination were evident during the mid-1980s when he contributed his talents at the Hodges Farm under Dennis Hodges. Kenny's career path also included service as a truck driver and owner/operator. Kenny also worked at Knight Trucking, where he drove and later held the role of dispatcher. He had also spent time as a loader operator at Nelson Quarry and collaborated with Jeff Hodges at Hodges Farm and Dredging.
Kenny's proudest accomplishment was his marriage to the love of his life, Naomi Stowell, whom he wed on October 11, 1969, in Arlington, Kansas. Together they established a strong partnership that lasted over 53 beautiful years until Naomi's passing on May 15, 2023. Their journey began in Arlington and took them through Hutchinson and Waverly before finally planting their roots in Lebo in 1973.
Kenny leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Charles (Angela) Weiss of Lebo, Franklin (Stacy) Weiss of Troy, Missouri, and Robert (Wendy) Weiss of Emporia, Kansas. He is also survived by his siblings, Janice McIver, Sandra Bollinger, and Timothy (Melissa) Weiss, all of Lebo, as well as his sister Marilyn of California. His cherished grandchildren include Allisyn Lynn Weiss, Cayla Leigh Weiss, Haylee Elizabeth Weiss, Brayden Lee Weiss, Austin Charles (Ashleigh) Weiss, Misty Dianne Weiss, and Jacob Wayne Weiss. He will also live on through his great-grandchildren, Theodore Charles Weiss and Evelynn Mae Weiss.
