Karl E. Brewer, 68, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at home in Osage City.
Karl Eric Brewer was born November 4, 1952 in Sunnyside, Washington, the son of Derald and Barbara (Bellanger) Brewer. He graduated from Quenemo High School in 1971. Karl received a B.S. degree in Biology from Emporia State University.
He was joined in marriage to Rebecca A. Bean on August 23, 1975 in Osage City, Kansas. To this union two sons were born Matthew and Mark.
Karl owned and operated Burlingame Concrete until he had to retire due to health reasons.
He attended the Osage City United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee and taught Sunday School for many years. He was a proud member of the Red Lake Nation of the Chippewa Tribe. He wrote a book called, “The Right Path”, under pin name, Tom Beck, about his dedication to his spirituality.
Karl loved everything outdoors such as camping, hunting, fishing, hiking and gardening fruit trees and flowers.
Karl will be forever remembered by his wife, Becky of the home; two sons, K. Matthew (Tegan) Brewer of Baldwin City, Kansas and Mark Brewer of Osage City; two sisters, Theresa Stultz of Ottawa, Kansas and Mia Condon of Memphis, Tennessee; a brother, Kurt Brewer of Flagstaff, Arizona.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Osage City United Methodist Church. The service will be live streamed at VanArsdale Funeral Services, Inc. Facebook page. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered at Willow Park in south central Colorado.
