OSAGE CITY- Karen J. Fiebiger, 76, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Vintage Park of Osage City in Osage City, Kansas.

Karen Jean Oleson was born August 2, 1940 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Mervin Lester and Hazel LaVonne (Hilton) Oleson. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1958.

She was joined in marriage to Frank J. Fiebiger, Jr. on August 6, 1960 in Badger, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Mary Lou, Amy, Frank Fiebiger III. Her husband preceded in death on September 18, 2005.

Karen had been a teachers aide. She was an member of Grace Lutheran Church in Osage City.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, David LaFountaine, a brother, Blake Oleson and sister-in-law, Barb Oleson.

Karen will be forever remembered by two daughters, Mary Lou LaFountaine of Larned, Kansas and Amy L. (Ronald) Sumner of Osage City; a son, Frank Joseph (Kim) Fiebiger III of Fort Dodge, Iowa; a step-son, Randy (Susan) Wolter of Manson, Iowa; two sisters, Nadine Todd of South Carolina, Ann (Andy) Drake of Waverly, Nebraska; two brothers, Steve (Judy) Oleson of Hawaii and Phil (LaVon Tanner) Oleson of Humbolt, Iowa; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Osage City, Kansas. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Private inurnment will take place at Barclay Cemetery, south of Osage City. Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N.
