June Melissa "Carson" Dieker, 57, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home in Emporia.
She was born on October 3, 1959 in Emporia, the daughter of Ralph and Clara Louise "Joles" Carson. June was the youngest of eight children.
June attended Hartford High School and graduated with the Class of 1977. She would go on and attended Emporia State University taking classes in Graphic Arts and Printing. June would later study at Flint Hills Technical College.
June would put her Master Printing skills to use at the Emporia State University Print Shop for 10 years. She would later work for the Shopper and at Walnut School.
June will live on in the hearts of her companion of 25 years, Irwin E. Carpenter, Jr. of their home; her daughter, Cami Leigh Dieker of Emporia; sisters, Jean Carson Lambert of Neosho Rapids and Julie "Carson" Young of Gardner, Kansas; brothers, Richard Carson and wife Judy of Neosho Rapids, Kansas, Robert Carson and wife Edie of Oil City, Pennsylvania, Roy A. Carson and wife Joyce of Lebo, Kansas and Randall Carson of Neosho rapids, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Dieker in infancy; a sister, Joanne Carson on October 9, 1953 and a brother- in- law Don Lambert on July 17, 2006.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
