Joanne L. Brinkman

Joanne L. Brinkman, 90, long time resident of Olpe and Madison, Kansas passes away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Holiday Resort in Emporia, Kansas. Joanne L. Arndt was born February 9, 1929 in Emporia, Kansas the youngest child of Joseph and Frances Steffes Arndt. She attended St. Joseph Grade School an Graduated from St. Joseph High School with the Class of 1947. On August 5, 1950, she was joined in marriage to Theodore Brinkman Sr. at St. Joseph Church in Olpe, Kansas. They became the parents of four children. She was a proud homemaker and devoted wife and mother.  She will live on in the hearts of her children, Jacque Metzger ( Fred ) of Salina, Kansas, Theodore Brinkman Jr. of Wichita, Kansas,  Joseph Douglas Brinkman (Jeri) of Parsons, Kansas and Timothy Clark Brinkman of Emporia, Kansas; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous extended family and a host of dear friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Ted on August 17, 2001. She was also preceded by four sisters, Marion Immasche, Genrose O’Halloran, Dorothy Luther and Louise Arndt; her two brothers, John W. Arndt and Fredrick Arndt and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Brinkman.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 17, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe. Burial will follow services at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olpe.  The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the Church.
