��Jo Ann Allegre, 91, Lebo KS passed away, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at her home in Lebo. ��She was born December 28, 1923 in Kansas City KS, the daughter of Clifton and Rowena Roberts. She was valedictorian of her Wyandotte High School graduating class in 1941. She married Jack K Allegre of Lebo in 1949 after a six-week courtship and six weeks of engagement; he survives. Other survivors include her brother Jack Roberts, four children Ann Allegre (Craig), Mary Allegre (David), Peter Allegre (Helen) and Bill Allegre (Stephanie), nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Roberts Redman and grandson Nicholas Allegre. ��Jo devoted her life to her family, community activities and her faith with energy and joy. She was an accomplished writer and prolific correspondent, writing a church newsletter and later a community newsletter, the Allegre Rexall Capsule for fifteen years. She led the Methodist Youth Fellowship for many years, taught Sunday school classes for 30 years, and was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. She also filled leadership roles in women's groups at the United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer secretary of the church for several years. Her proudest accomplishment was seeing her four children develop successful and happy lives. ��Jack and Jo had 66 years of loving marriage, an example of steadfast devotion that has been an inspiration for their children and others. She touched the lives of everyone she met with humor, intelligence, and kindness.��
