Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Linday passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas
Jacqueline Marie Curley was born October 17, 1927 in Osage City, Kansas, the daughter of James and Emma (Martin) Curley. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1945.
She was joined in marriage to Duane R. Lindsay on June 19, 1947 in Osage City. He preceded her in death in 2007 after 59 years of marriage.
Jackie worked as a grocery clerk in Osage City for many years. She retired from the Osage County Treasurer’s Office. She was a long time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Her favorite activities was needle work, playing bingo and casino trips also enjoyed taking trips with her husband especially their trip to Europe in 1984.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bob” Curley.
Jackie will be forevered remembered by her two sons, Mike (Connie) Lindsay of Shawnee, Kansas and Pat (Cindy) Lindsay of Osage City and ; five grandchildren, Nicole McGinnis, Christina Avitia, Alison Beasley, Nathan Lindsay and Jennifer Wilcoxson and six great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Partick’s Catholic Church in Osage City. Rosary will be held 9:30 a.m before service. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Osage City. Memorial contributions may be made to Osage City American Legion Auxillary, Great Lakes Hospice or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and may be sent to VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
