Jack J. Nicol, 75, “Guan Hame”, Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Emporia, Kansas. Jack was born July 8, 1942 in Glasgow, Scotland. The early years of his life were laced with various hardships that would effect Jack throughout his lifetime. Jack’s fortune would forever change on February 5, 1965, the day he married Sarah “Sadie” Gallagher. Jack and Sadie began their life together living in Glasgow before moving to London for two years. In 1967 they moved to Los Angeles and Jack took a job as a machinist for Western Gear. He would later work a Baker Oil and McDonnell Douglas. Jack and Sadie moved to Emporia in 1996 and Jack began working a Didde Manufacturing. He later worked at Walmart. Jack was an avid writer and classical guitarist. This love for the arts resonated with him his entire life. He was formerly a member of the Eagles in Emporia and practiced the fellowship of Masonry. He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 53 years, Sadie of their home; a daughter Elizabeth Tedford and her husband Jeremy of Brea, California; a son, Paul Nicol of Brea, California.
