Frank R. Ketley, 84, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at Holiday Resort in Emporia.
He was born October 4, 1931 in Niles, Ohio, the son of Frank and Pearl Nixon Ketley. Frank graduated from Lamont High School with the Class of 1950.
Shortly after high school, Frank joined the United States Navy and proudly served for four years in such places as Tokyo and San Francisco. He was honorably discharged in 1954.
Following his military services Frank began working in the oil fields around Greenwood County. He became well versed in the workings of oil production over the years. This would benefit Frank as he would go on to manage the Buckeye Supply Company in Madison for over ten years.
On November 21, 1977 Frank married Lorraine Turner. They would enjoy over twenty four years of marriage before her death on September 17, 2002.
He was a member of the Lamont Wesleyan Church and had previously served on the Church Board.
Frank married Juanita Ott Moreland on October 4, 2004 in Miami, Oklahoma. Juanita survives Frank of their home in Madison. Other survivors include three step daughters, Cathy Gowen and her husband Charles of Madison, Patricia Logan and her husband Cy of Madison and Carolyn Bahr and her husband Leon of Madison; a step son, Alan Ott; two brothers, George Ketley and his wife Mary Adele of El Dorado, Kansas and Donald Grimm and his wife Shirley of Goddard, Kansas; numerous step grand and step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; extended family and dear friends.
