Evelyn Pearl Crouch, 97, passed away, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Holiday Resort. She was born, January 12, 1918 in Madison, Kansas the daughter of Fred E. and Lizzie A. Miller Lincoln. Evelyn attended Saffordville High School and graduated with the Class of 1935. She was joined in marriage to William Crouch on October 12, 1935 in Burlington, Kansas. Evelyn and Bill made their lifelong home together near Hartford. They enjoyed fishing and traveling together for over 68 years of marriage until Bill's death on April 7, 2004. Evelyn was a member of the Hartford United Methodist Church where she was active in preparing funeral dinners and Penny Suppers for over 50 years. She transferred her membership to Grace United Methodist Church after moving to Emporia in 2006. She had been living at Hoilday Resort for the past two years. Evelyn will remain in the hearts of her two daughters, Joyce A. Gorman of Emporia and Carol L. Breed and her husband Herb of Hartford; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Gorman; grandson, Jeff Breed and a great-grandson, Seth Willson.
