Ernest Craig "Viddy" Vidrios

February 25, 1960 — January 9, 2018

Ernest Craig “Viddy” Vidrios, 57, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. Viddy was born February 25, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas of Robert Vidrios and Elizabeth Radig. He was raised in the family home until the age of nine when he was admitted to the Winfield State Hospital in Winfield, Kansas.  In 1975, he transferred to Kansas Neurological Institute in Topeka. He went to live with his step-father Julius Cato and family in 1981 and remained there until moving to Hartford where he joined his Quest Services Inc., family (formerly Hartford Training Center) in 1984.  In November of 1998, he moved into Quest Group Homes. He currently lived at Mohawk Group Home in Burlington where he shared his home with five housemates, Lola, Carla, Nancy, Leroy and Stevie. Viddy attended the Quest Services Inc. Day Program where he enjoyed being with his friends. He enjoyed bingo, bowling, Special Olympics, listening to music, singing and celebrating his birthday with his Quest Services friends and family.  He will live on in the hearts of his  many siblings and step–siblings; numerous extended relatives; his (Quest Services family) housemates, caregivers and dear friends.     A celebration of Viddy’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Hartford Community Building.
