��Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Ott Haas was born September 29, 1925 , to John W. and Clara Riggenbach Ott at Lamont, Kansas. ��She died March 16, 2015 at her home, on the same quarter section of land in which she was born. ��She graduated from Lamont High School in 1943, and attended Kansas State Teachers College. During World War II, she worked in a factory making Army shirts in Holden, Missouri, and in the Singer Sewing Center in Emporia. ��She was joined in marriage to Lloyd Keith Haas, on August 11, 1946, at the First Christian Church in Madison, Kansas. They lived all their married life in the Lamont area. Betty was a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, Civic Culture Club and P.E.O. Chapter DY in Madison. She was a member of Lamont Study Club for over 40 years. Lloyd and Betty were members of the International Comanche Society and traveled to many fly-ins. She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Lloyd, of their home in rural Lamont, her children, sons, Mike (Darlene) Haas and Mark (Marjorie) Haas of Madison, and one daughter, Sally Marshall and her fianc̩, Gary Fennel of East Berlin, Penn. Six grandchildren: Terri Adams of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Kane (Jolene) Haas , and Amanda (Steve) Cooper both of Madison, Shay (John) Discepolo of Wellington, Florida; Anna (James) Wiseman of Fayetteville, Georgia; and Jenny (Talmage) Cox of Lenexa, Kansas. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Rachel (Frank) Swift, Aubrey Adams, Quentin Haas, Zachary Nowell, Trey Cooper, Tyler and Rylan Discepolo, and Jackson Wiseman. Her great-great-grandchildren are Mason Watts, Anabelle Swift, Kaston Ratcliff, and Emma Nowell. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Emma Stucker, Mildred Schupbach, Dorothea Holmberg and Bernell Morrison; and two brothers, Amos and Harvey Ott. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm., Friday, March 20, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Madison. Burial will follow services at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery near Lamont. Memorial contributions may be made to Hand In Hand Hospice and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Home. ��
