Doyle Keith Longhofer

��Doyle Keith Longhofer, 72, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his home in Lebo. �� Doyle was born February 19, 1943 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Verna Ray and Neva Jane Hunt Longhofer. He attended school in Lebo, graduating with the Lebo High School Class of 1961. Doyle was active in Scouting as a young man and earned the merit of Eagle Scout. He was joined in marriage to Darlene Mark on February 26, 1963 at the Lebo Baptist Church. They had lived in Emporia before returning to Lebo in the mid 1970's. Doyle was the first employee hired at Kanza Corporation in Emporia where he worked for over thirty years as an Assembly Mechanic. He drove a truck on weekends throughout the central United States for many years. Doyle was proud of his contributions to the American Red Cross; where he donated 26 and 1/2 gallons of blood since 1962. Doyle was a fifty year member of the Lebo Masonic Lodge #152 AF&AM. ��He will remain in the hearts of his wife, Darlene of their home; two sons, Rodney Longhofer and wife Molly of Overland Park, Kansas and Rondell Longhofer and friend Jackie of Wichita; two grandchildren, Jackson and Neva Longhofer of Overland Park; sisters, Marcia Cornelius of Lebo and Janet Russell of Topeka; brother, Larry Longhofer of Topeka and brother-in-law's, Robert Mark and Rolland Mark. ��Services will be held at 10:00 AM., Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Lebo Baptist Church. Burial will follow services at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM., Sunday evening at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Doyle has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.��
