Dennis D. Combes, 66, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Dennis Dale Combes was born September 18, 1951 in Burlington, Kansas, the son of Walter Clinton and Ethel Lorene (Norris) Combes. He graduated from Reading High School in 1969. He served with Army Reserves after high school.

He was joined in marriage to Colleen Ann Combes on February 19, 1971 in Lebo. To this union three children were born, Angela, Amanda and Lance.

Dennis was the Superintendent of the Electric Line Department for the City of Osage City.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Colleen of the home; a daughter, Amanda Lorene of the home; a son, Lance Clinton Combes of the home; four brothers, Ron (Margaret) Combes of Burlington, Eldon (Ruby) Combes of Carbondale, Keith (Linda) Combes of Wakarusa and Gordon (Doris) Combes of Osage City; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Crouch of Burlington; two grandchildren, Victoria Combes and Megan Nicole Combes, both of the home and two great grandchildren, Kien Beaman and Joseph Combes.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Angela Dawn Combes on February 17, 2007 and a sister Margie Crouch.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Osage City Community Building. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dennis D. Combes Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date and may be sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
