Charlotte Louise Michael

Charlotte L. Michael OSAGE CITY- Charlotte L. Michael, 82, passed away, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her home. Charlotte Louise Peterson was born April 22, 1933 near Carbondale, the daughter of Nels Arthur and Wilhelmina (Shively) Peterson. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1951. She had worked at Peterson Nursing Home as Certified Med Aide and activities director and also operated C&M Ceramics for many years. She was a member of First Un/ited Methodist Church in Osage City. Charlotte was joined in marriage to Marvin Michael Sr. on June 20, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2000. She will be remembered by her two daughters, Mica (Terry) Lindbloom and Diane Michael, both of Osage City; a son, Marvin (DeAun) Michael, Jr. of Topeka; two sisters, Archlean (LeRoy) Frye and Linda (Jerry) Bowin, both of Osage City; two brothers, James (Carolyn) Peterson and Nels LaRue (Robin) Peterson, both of Osage City; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; two sisters-in-laws, Carol Bosley of Buffalo, New York and Ad Michael of Bladsdell, New York and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Marlan Shively; two grandsons, Mark Lindbloom and Christopher Masters; a great-grandson, Ethan Bailey and a nephew, Tommy Frye. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 10, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Osage City. Mrs. Michael will lie in state on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00.
