Charles E. Price, 81, of Wakarusa, KS passed away on Monday September 9, 2024 at his home. Charles was born July 15, 1943 in West Point, MS., the son of Oscar Lee, Sr. and Emmer Lee (Dodds) Price. He married Judy Wright on August 22, 1958. Together they had two sons, Charles E. II and David.

Charles worked for Topeka State Hospital as a painter for 17 years. In 1978, he started his own contractor business. Charles was a dedicated member of Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka and was very active in his community, serving as a Scout Leader for The Boy Scout of America and overseeing 34 foster children with the love of his life, Judy Price.

He is survived by his son David G. Price (Alesia), and several siblings, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Price; parents; son, Charles E. Price II, and several siblings.

Visitation hours will be held, Mon. Sept. 16 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N 6th, Osage City, KS 66523. Funeral services will be held Tues. Sept. 17 at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Osage City Cemetery.
