Charles Edward Noonan

June 22, 1930 — July 6, 2020

Charles Edward Noonan, 90, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Charles was born June 22, 1930 in Emporia, the son of Charles E. and Lula (Woodward) Noonan.  He graduated from Westphalia High School in 1949.

He served on the front lines for the United State Army.  He was a decorated soldier and was injured in combat.

Charles worked as a shop worker for the railroad and farmed.

He was married to Shirley Ann Wolke and divorced.  Later married, Joyce Boyer and they divorced.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie (Tony) Ford of Wichita, Linda (Jamie) Vice of Wichita and Jean (Travis) Creviston of Burlingame; four sons, Ed (Pam) Noonan of Burlingame; Tom (Judy) Noonan of Burlingame, Kenny (Candy) Noonan of Burlingame and Bob (Dana) Noonan of Scranton; a brother, Joe (Carolyn) Noonan of Texas; twenty-nine grandchildren and sixthy-two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Osage City.  Military Graveside Honors to follow Mass at 12:30 p.m. at Burlingame Cemetery in Burlingame, Kansas.  Visitation will be on Thrusday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City.  Memorial contributions may be made to DAV or Wounded Warriors Project and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
