Charlene Janell Julian, 82, passed away early Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Sunset Manor in Waverly.
She was born July 22, 1939 in Marshall, Texas the daughter of Paul and Avis Brown White. Charlene attended Marshall High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. She worked at the Baptist Book Store in Dallas before beginning classes at Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga. Charlene would go on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in English.
Her life forever changed when she met Jerry D. Julian. They were joined in marriage on June 11, 1965 in Houston, Texas. Throughout her life Charlene was employed at General Electric, Delta and Long Drive Auto Service as and administrative assistant. She would later work at Houston Pediatric and Houston Baptist University. In 1992 Charlene and Jerry moved to Lebo, Kansas where her Texas charm won over all that were blessed to get to know her.
Charlene and Jerry began attending the Lebo United Methodist Church where they remained active until her health would no longer allow.
She will live on in the hearts and memories of her devoted husband, Jerry of their home in Lebo; a sister, Leota Golden of San Francisco, California; two brothers, Phillip M. White of San Diego, California, W.D. White and wife Lonny of Katy, Texas; numerous extended family and a host of lifelong friends. Charlene was preceded in death by her twin sister, Pauline Eaves and brothers, Rev. Harlan White and Paul White, Jr.
Charlene wished to be cremated and the family to gather for a celebration of her life to be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Manor of Waverly or Hand In Hand Hospice and sent in care of the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home at P.O. Box #43, Lebo, Kansas 66856.
