Carol A. Thompson

Carol A. Thompson, 88, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Peterson’s Assisted Living in Osage City.

Carol Aileen Patterson was born December 22, 1933 in Melvern, Kansas, the daughter of Alfred and Blanche (Lumsden) Patterson. She graduated from Melvern High School in 1952.

Carol was joined in marriage to Howard Orville Thompson on May 3, 1952. To this union, three boys were born, Scott, Troy and Clark. She was a homemaker for her family.

She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Osage City. Carol was a member of the United Methodist Women and helped out everywhere she could for the church.

Carol will be forever remembered by her husband, Howard; three sons, Scott (Diana) Thompson, Troy (Kym) Thompson and Clark (Lori) Thompson, all of Osage City; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial to follow at the Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Osage City United Methodist Women and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N.
