Carl William Sheall

Carl W. “Bill” Sheall, 88, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita.

Carl William Sheall was born December 30, 1933 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the son of Ivan Reeves and Hazel A. (Harris) Sheall. He graduated from Burlingame High School in 1951. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War.

He was joined in marriage to Kay Irene Whittington on August 4, 1956 in Admire, Kansas.

Bill worked as an auto body mechanic and retired from USD 501 maintenance.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Kay of the home; a daughter, Kathy Gomez of Wichita; a son, Ivan L. Sheall of Burlingame; a sister, Joyce Wessel of Burlingame and two grandchildren, Alissa (Nathan) Murphy and Marina (Andrew) Orocio.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Family will receive friends an hour before service at the funeral home. Military burial honor to follow service at Scranton Cemetery.
