Barbara Ann Allison

 Barbara Ann Bagby Allison, Osage City, Kansas, died Saturday, October 19, 2024.

 She was born February1,1944 at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Frank Merrill and Mildred Pauline Dick Bagby. She graduated from Great Bend High School in 1962.

 Mrs. Allison graduated from Kansas State University in1966 with a B.S. in Education and received an A.A. in Legal Assistance in 1985 and a Masters degree in Education in 1987 both from Washburn University. She taught school in Great Bend and Burlingame and was, also, a legal secretary.

  She married Michael John Hines in Great Bend on May 27, 1966. Mike passed away May 20, 1981. She married Richard Dean Allison in Osage City on May 20, 1985. He passed away March 14, 2017. 

  Ann lived in Great Bend; Manhattan; Salina; Burlingame; Duluth, Minnesota; Topeka and Osage City. 

  Ann was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, P.E.O. Chapter IQ, Saturday Afternoon Club of Burlingame, Card Club, Sorosis, Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Organization, NEA, KNEA and the Honors Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

  Ann is survived by three step-children: Lori Allison, Tonia Sutton, Trent Allison and wife Shannon all of Topeka; six grandchildren: Michael Sutton, Allison Speck and husband Colby, Carli Jo Sutton, Emma Allison, McClain Allison and Charlie Allison; five great-grandchildren: Jaighme and Ryleigh Sutton, Madison, Ellie and Riggs Speck with a brother on the way. 

 Ann loved to travel, read, play Scrabble, Skip-Bo, variety of card games and all activities with family and friends.

  Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 26, 2024 at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City, Kansas with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Osage City Public Library and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. 6th Street, Osage City, Kansas 66523.
