�� Eskridge- Arthur Leroy Rush, 87 passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015. ��He was born in rural Eskridge, May 8, 1928, the son of Joseph A. and Florence Hall Rush. ��Art was joined in marriage to Juanita (Nita) Lietz on May 15, 1949 in Alma. She survives of their home. Other survivors include two children Diane (Brad) Butler of Topeka and John (Vickie) Rush of Eskridge; four grandchildren, Chad (Debra) Butler, Jay Butler, Justin (Hanna) Rush, Stephanie Rush and five great-grandchildren. Art was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John's Lutheran Church in Alma in November 1952. He was self employed most of his life. Art ran a freight truck serving the communities of Eskridge, Harveyville and Dover for many years. He then owned and operated his own service station and used car lot for many years. Art enjoyed coon hunting, auto auctions, playing pitch and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom, Ab and Don; sisters, Mary Yonning Jenkins, Lucille Saylor and Maxine Rush. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 PM., Thursday, October 8th at Eskridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM. until 7:30 PM. Wednesday evening at the VanArsdale Funeral Home in Eskridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Mission or the Eskridge Ball Association and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.��
