Anita J. Banks, 92, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Hickory Pinte Care and Rehab Center in Osakloosa, Kansas.
Anita J. Lind was born June 25, 1928 in Osage City, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Adolphson) Lind.
She was joined in marriage to Wayne Banks on December 4, 1947 in Topeka. To this union two children were born, David and Linda.
Anita had worked in production for Hallmark Cards.
She will be forever remember by her daugther, Linda (Dale) Mooney of Oskaloosa; a son, David E. (Donna) Banks of Council Grove; a sister, Dorothy Lind of Osage City; three grandchildren, Lori (Robert) Alexander, Danelle (Monte) Steffey, Travis (Laticia) Mooney; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher (Samatha) Alexander, Dylan Alexander, Preston Alexander, Monte Steffey II, Kayla Steffey, Hunter Steffey and Vada, Isaiah and Walker Mooney and two great-great-grandchildre, Sophia and Gabriella Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; two brothers, Oscar and Kenneth and a sister, Berniece.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at Union Cemetery in Osage City. Memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Baptist Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523.
