Amber Nicole Dixon-Born

Amber Nicole Dixon-Born, 36 of Carbondale, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Via Christy St. Francis in Wichita. She was born February 19, 1981 in Columbus, Kansas the daughter of Darrell L. and Dawn Bowen Dixon.  Amber attended Topeka High School and graduated with the Class of 1999.  She worked for Sunflower Supports as a caregiver in group homes for developmental and physically challenged individuals. She had been employed there for the past ten years.  Amber was joined in marriage to William J. “Bill” Born on August 18, 2007 in Ottawa.  She will live on in the hearts of her husband, Bill of their home; her mother, Dawn of Topeka; step daughter, Lillith Born of the home; step son Nicholas Born of the home; half sister, Crystal Dixon Wheeler of El Dorado, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell and a brother, Brandon.  Cremation is planned. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
