Ada L. Bourne, 92, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Brookside Manor in Overbrook, Kansas.
Ada Lorene Allison was born February 9, 1926 in near Lyndon, Kansas, the daughter of George E. And Gertrude (Gordon) Allison. She graduated from Lyndon High School.
She was joined in marriage to Robert Bourne. Ada was a farmer’s wife and homemaker. She had volunteered for the Election Board and Census. She lived in Osage City since her husband’s death in 2010.
Ada was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Derald Bourne and two sisters, Thelma and Freda.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Brian) Sperry of Boulder, Colorado; a son, Fred (Lynne) Bourne of Carbondale; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Family request attendees where purple in her honor. Cremation has taken place and family will have a private inurnment at a later date. Family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be may to Great Lakes Hospice and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
