Marjorie Lou Winzeler

Marjorie Lou Winzeler, 99, of Madison passed away Thursday January 19, 2017 at Emporia Place Senior Living.
She was born October 30, 1917 in Madison, Kansas the daughter of Frank S. and Lula Belle McGilvray Heidrick. Marjorie attended Madison High school and graduated with the Class of 1935. She would later attended Beautician School in Emporia, graduating in 1941.
She owned and operated Marjorie's Beauty Shop in Madison for 17 years. Marjorie was an accomplished seamstress and sewed for the community for decades. She also hand painted china. After Fred's death, Marjorie worked at the Wilson Funeral Home in Madison for over 30 years. Her memberships included the Madison United Methodist Church and UMW, the PEO since 1967 and the Sunflower Club. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Marjorie married Joseph King on May 4, 1942 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He would precede her in death on January 21, 1954. She married Fred Winzeler on June 28, 1958 in Topeka. Fred preceded her in death on October 31, 1982. She was also preceded by a son, Bob Winzeler; four brothers, DW, Grant, Neil and Herbert Heidrick and a sister, Irene Hess.
She will live on in the hearts of her daughters; Mary Frances Bergner of Pratt, Kansas and Doris Anne Trcka and her husband Richard of Richardson, Texas; seven grandsons; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous extended family and countless dear friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday January 25, 2017 at the Madison United Methodist Church. Burial will follow services at Blakely Cemetery north of Madison. Mrs. Winzeler will lie in state from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the VanArsdale Funeral Home in Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Educational Assistance Fund for the Fred & Marjorie Winzeler Scholarship and sent in care of the funeral home.
